Who We Are

The Carnival Experience is a cultural tourism program that offers an authentic immersion in the universe of Rio de Janeiro's Samba Schools. With over ten years of experience, we continuously improve our activities to provide a unique, accessible and enriching experience for

audiences of all ages.

Our proposal is to reveal behind the scenes of the creation of the greatest show on Earth, presenting the creative process of Carnival, its professionals, and the historical and cultural richness of Rio's samba. More than a tour, it is an educational and engaging experience that connects the visitor to the essence of this cultural manifestation.

The Inside Experience

The narrative of the Carnival Experience is conducted by the NGO Pimpolhos da Grande Rio, in partnership with its parent school, Grêmio Recreativo Escola de Samba Academics do Grande Rio.

Based on this connection, the Carnival Experience structures and intermediates an experience built from the inside out, where the public experiences, live and throughout the year, behind the scenes and the creative process of Carnival, immersed in its playful universe. Upon opening their doors, institutions reveal their knowledge, routines and characters, providing direct and authentic contact with the universe of

Samba Schools.

Social Commitment

Pimpolhos da Grande Rio is a children's samba school and organization whose mission is to promote social inclusion through education and culture. The Carnival Experience is part of the institution's socio-economic sustainability pillar, contributing directly to the maintenance and expansion of its sociocultural projects

.

Over 50% of the NGO's revenue comes from the program, allowing continuous investment in the training of children, adolescents and their families. The initiatives developed train professionals in various areas related to Carnival and the creative economy, such as sewing, props, design, crafts, cultural production, tourism

and language training.

Impact and Sustainability

Currently, between 250 and 300 families benefit from the projects, reinforcing their commitment to social development, the generation of opportunities, and the preservation of the Rio Carnival culture.

This impact reflects the project's commitment to sustainability, by integrating these families into the Carnival creative chain, promoting training and income generation within the universe of samba schools. This cycle extends to the production process, with the use of alternative materials, reuse and recycling in the creation of sets, costumes and props, reducing environmental impacts and

making production more conscious.
